Nice one. A bit too bright in the middle though.

Wonderful! I really like it, but I agree with purplrose.
The golden mood is superb!
top mark for me!

A mystic capture. Over-exposured areas...not really a big problem IMO.

The concept is good.

Nice mood!

The execution though is rather poor.

Why?
  • The overexposure on the road is to much
  • The choice of presentation format is not 100%
  • A lower angle would be stronger
  • A frame could be useful
  • Road more off center would be an alternative
My personal observations only... ;)

Edit: I modified my comment to answer your question below... :p

Re: moserArtist

Specifics?

Edit: Thank you for the clarification, Moser. As always, each photo is a learning experience which later photos benefit from.

Wow, this is what i call, a dam good use of overexposure and an excellent mood; looks like a painting, great contrast betwen the dark and lightened areas.
Looks perfect to me, the mood wouldn´t be the same without the overexposure...!!!
Well done...!!!

bit overexposed for my taste, But still a great shot!

Like the idea here, and for me the overexposure is put to good effect.
I'm not sure the tryptic composition (dark / light / dark) is really showing this to its best potential though, you could consider a 50/50 split here (dark / light) cropping the dark third from the right hand side - I feel this tells the same story but gives the composition more dynamism. Of course that's a purely personal aesthetic - just another one for the melting pot!

a lil' overexposure tends to be very suitable for this one, makes a great mood and gives a bit of mystery, which i find really amazing...so nice shot!

In this case, the over-exposure doesn't bother me and in fact works for the photo. I might have cropped some from both sides. I like the mood. Good work.

Great photo.... I am a sucker for empty roads and sunlight, but would have to agree with some comments above about perhaps have taken the photo in road level..... but still like it as it is though!

Top marks!

I took some test shots of this photo at road-level and found that doing so made the road--and its inherent lovely texture of shadows and light--all but disappear. I do agree that it is nice to have a fresh vantage point from time to time, but shooting low turned out to not be the answer for this particular composition.

This is a classic style, and imo, a well done job at that ... as i've mentioned before in some posts and blogs, some people are too nitpicky about over/underexposure sometimes... the fact that you cannot see every single detail in an image, from the darkest of the shades, to the brightest of light... doesnt neccessarily mean a bad thing, and in many cases is what makes an image something special.
Well done sirgerg, very nice image. (I just dont really see though why you dont just invest in a wide angle lens, lol :p )
