The execution though is rather poor.
Why?
- The overexposure on the road is to much
- The choice of presentation format is not 100%
- A lower angle would be stronger
- A frame could be useful
- Road more off center would be an alternative

I'm not sure the tryptic composition (dark / light / dark) is really showing this to its best potential though, you could consider a 50/50 split here (dark / light) cropping the dark third from the right hand side - I feel this tells the same story but gives the composition more dynamism. Of course that's a purely personal aesthetic - just another one for the melting pot!
